Adil El Yousseffi - CEO of Africa Data Centres

As the CEO of Africa Data Centres, Adil El Youssefi is responsible for driving the growth, innovation, and strategy of the data centre business on the continent. His mission is to meet Africa’s accelerating demand for data and digital infrastructure, a task he approaches with optimism and determination.

Before taking on the CEO role for Africa Data Centres, Adil was the CEO of East and West Africa Region, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, based in Kenya. He joined the company in April 2017 as CEO of Liquid’s operations in Kenya.

Before Adil began his leadership journey at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, he served as the Managing Director of Airtel Kenya for three years. His 20 years of experience in senior management across Africa, Asia, and Europe, coupled with his expertise in developing markets, leadership, strategy, and operations, make him a formidable force in the industry.

Before joining Airtel, Adil had risen through the management ranks of global telecoms and media company Millicom. Initially as a Senior Advisor to the Chief Officer Asia in Sri Lanka, before moving to Chad to take up the Chief Executive position and then becoming Chief Executive of Millicom Ghana. Adil completed his MBA from INSEAD and has a Masters in Electronics\/Telecommunications from ENSEIRB-MATMEC.

Muhammed Seedat - Chief Operating Office

Muhammed Seedat has broad exposure to research, IT, and analytics, as well as a wealth of knowledge in corporate information and change.

Over the course of his 20-year career, Seedat has held a variety of executive positions at some of the top companies in the world, including Huawei, MTN Group, and First National Bank, which have demonstrated his capacity to spur revenue development. His successful leadership of numerous creative corporate innovations can also be attributed to his exceptional communication and motivational abilities. Leading teams to successfully execute significant projects and rollouts in order to meet corporate objectives and stay up with the digital transformation is one of his other talents.

Additionally, Seedat has a Bachelor’s from the University of Pretoria and a Masters in information technology.

Dan-2-Leadership

Dan Kwach - Regional Executive, East Africa

Dan is based in Nairobi and is responsible for managing our facilities in the East Africa region. In his role, Dan ensures we meet and exceed our customers’ expectations, align with the latest market trends and adhere to the correct regulatory framework.

He was pivotal in the development of East Africa Data Centre, having served as project manager for the initial business case development, design and implementation of the data centre.

Dan read for an undergraduate degree in information technology and is a member of the local IEEE Chapter. He also holds several professional certifications in the field of ICT, which include being the only Accredited Tier Specialist from the Uptime Institute in Kenya.

Married with three children and living in Nairobi, Dan enjoys opportunities to network, learn and share. He is well respected by his peers and was shortlisted as a Data Centre Individual of the Year at the 2018 Data Centre Solutions Awards.

Dr Angus Hay - Regional Executive: South Africa

As the Group Executive IT and Strategic Partners for South Africa, Dr Angus Hay oversees the commercial and operational development of the Africa Data Centre facilities in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

He joined Neotel at its inception in 2006 and later became its chief technology officer. Following Neotel’s acquisition by Liquid Telecom in early 2017, Angus oversaw major expansion projects at the company’s data centres.

He has also served as chief technology officer for Transtel and was chair of the management committee of the West Africa Cable System in 2012.He is currently director of the Number Portability Company. Born and educated in Johannesburg, South Africa, Angus has BSc (Eng) Elec (1987) and a PhD in digital transmission (1998) from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Dr Krish Ranganath - Regional Executive: West Africa

With more than two decades of experience in global industry working with various Multinationals across Emerging Markets in the ICT sector, Dr Krish started his career in 1992.

He has managed complex multinational projects across growing economies and has seasoned relationships with various global players across industries.He is a key stakeholder in setting up and managing various networks & data centres across emerging economies with a proven record of monitoring the inflow & outflow of funds and ensuring optimum utilisation towards the accomplishment of the organisational goals.

He is also involved in various activities in promoting and enabling local content in Africa and preparing long term ICT strategies and roadmaps for various emerging economies within Africa as well as in West Africa Telecom infrastructural development.

Dr Krish holds an MBA in International Marketing, PhD’s in International Marketing, Organisational Management and Strategy, Enterprise-wide risk management & BCP.
